Slow Art Day am Samstag, 16.April 2011
Ulmer Museum ab 13.13 Uhr
Die Idee vom Slow Art Day ist einfach: Museumsbesucher sollen animiert werden, sich ein Kunstwerk genauer anzusehen, sich langsam und intensiv damit zu beschäftigen, statt flüchtig und oberflächlich. Denn meist sind die Besucher im Museum überfordert, es gibt zu viel zu sehen! Und ohne genaue Informationen bleibt oft nur ein flüchtiger Eindruck vom Meisterstück hängen. Deshalb rief der New Yorker Phil Terry eine Initiative ins Leben, die eine „Langsame Kunstbetrachtung“ anregen möchte. Interessierte in aller Welt begegnen sich an einem Tag im Jahr, um sich aufmerksam mit einem Kunstwerk zu beschäftigen.
Am Samstag 16. April 2011 findet also der Slow Art Day zum dritten Mal statt. Dazu laden die Schülerinnen und Schüler der 3. Klasse des Berufskollegs für Grafik-Design der Ferdinand von Steinbeis Schule Ulm ins Ulmer Museum ein. Die Aktion startet ab 13.13 Uhr.
Die angehenden Grafik-Designer stellen 25 ausgewählte Kunstwerke (siehe Plan umseitig) aus der Archäologie, der Ulmer Stadtgeschichte und der Sammlung Fried vor, laden zur Betrachtung und erläutern fünf Minuten lang Details über Werk und Künstler, Epoche und Technik. Bei einem gemeinsamen Mittagessen in einem Lokal in der Nähe des Museums, können die gewonnenen Eindrücke im Gespräch vertief werden.
